Ranjit Jacob – CEO & Director
Ranjit Jacob is an experienced Low Vision Hardware & Software Product Specialist who has worked in the Australian low vision industry since 2015. He has extensive experience with Freedom Scientific low vision hardware and software, helping people find practical technology solutions to support greater independence in everyday life.
In 2023, Ranjit purchased Visitech Magnifiers and became the Authorised Australian Distributor for Enhanced Vision and Freedom Scientific low vision products and software. He is passionate about helping Australians with low vision find the right technology for their individual needs, whether at home, work, school, retirement living or in the community. He provides personalised product demonstrations, training and ongoing support.
Ranjit works closely with Occupational Therapists, Orthoptists, teachers, plan managers, disability employment agencies and other allied health professionals across Australia. He regularly attends international industry events and works with manufacturers and product developers to stay up to date with the latest advances in low vision and assistive technology.
Outside of work, Ranjit enjoys sport, outdoor activities, socialising and music.
Rob Drummond
Rob’s background is in the optical industry where he has held numerous positions within retail and wholesale businesses after qualifying as an Optical Dispenser from Sydney Technical College in 1980.
In 1981 he began working within the Low Vision sector for O.P.S.M. Visual Aids gaining experience at Royal Blind Society, Concord Rehabilitation Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital. During this period, he was also on the teaching staff of the Guild of Dispensing Opticians. After having moved to Perth and, having lived there for 13 years running his own Optical Dispensing businesses, he returned to Sydney and soon after started working for Quantum Technology in 2004 as Low Vision Consultant in New South Wales.
Rob grew to be a part owner and Director of Quantum Technology and has gained a wealth of experience within the low vision field, having travelled around Australia and overseas for numerous trade shows and exhibitions. Rob has had extensive training from manufacturers and producers of assistive technology.
Rob retired in late 2018 and has kept busy with his hobbies of four-wheel drive touring, gardening, bushwalking and photography. Rob has missed the ‘people’ side of the vision impaired business and makes a return to assist Visitech Magnifiers with their growing business.
Andrew White
Andrew brings over 25 years of experience in the blind and vision-impaired sector, specialising in all aspects of assistive technology. His work spans assessment, training, implementation and long-term support, across both mainstream and specialist technologies.
Andrew works closely with individuals, families and support teams to deliver practical, person-centred solutions that build skills, independence and meaningful participation in everyday life.
With deep sector knowledge and a hands-on approach, he focuses on technology that is usable, sustainable and tailored to real-world needs.
